2005 in 20/20

In 2005, I've committed some crimes:

Guilty of:
- Procrastinating. What can wait till tomorrow will get done the day after tomorrow.

- Not planning my annual leave properly. It's year-end and I have 12 days (out of 18) of leave left! Not that i'm complaining but they could have been put to better use such as filling up the gaps in between the holidays and proloooonging the holidays.

- Letting my guard down by revealing too much. Better to shut the duck up and keep those eyes and eyes wide open. (Did I just do it again?)

- Cluttering my room. Bad idea to bring work home. Too much shopping, too little space. Ants and various species of spiders are calling my room home too.

- Taking for granted my loved ones. This takes the 'Biggest Crime Of The Year Award'.

But In 2005, I also did some things right-

- Joining the force to become part of the research team.
- Setting up this blog and meeting all you crasy, like-minded bloggers
- Expanding my social circles and meeting lots of new friends.
- Learning a new skill- Moderating. And attending lots of courses related to market research.
- Writing three articles for a local magazine. These got published and I was paid. Not the fattest cheque but I get a tremendous kick from seeing my name in print.
- Making it a point to keep in touch with friends from different points of my life.

There, what a year this has been! Lots of downs too but sometimes you need to roll with it to really appreciate the ups. Geez, I wonder what 2006 has in store..

Hope 2005 has been a stellar year for you too.

Cheers,
Natalie

hmm... i guess ultimately if the ratio of good things to bad is about 3:1 it's been a fantastic year! ;-)

cheers to you, and hope 2006 has some pretty good stuff waiting!

PS: shopping is NEVER a bad thing to do. Don't ever think that. Ever.

Hi Chi and Chris,

Happy New Year to you both! Thanks for your well wishes. Someone just asked me if i had become a better person this year..i thot that was a pretty loaded question. While much has been done this year in terms of personal growth, I can't say for sure that i'm nicer, better and kinder in 2005 than i was in 2004.

And Chi, my new year resolution is to shop for quality...not quantity. That should help me save some space and money in the long run.

Enjoy your holidays!
